Target Audience: The Fall Arrest Technician course is aimed at small working teams (such as the telecoms industry, the power distribution industry and technical rigging industry) that need to use a combination of fall arrest systems, install their own temporary systems and perform their own rescues if required.
Relevance: This course installs, uses and performs basic rescues from fall arrest systems and implements the fall protection plan. Small teams using this course can only operate without supervision if a Risk Assessment, a Fall Protection and Worksite Procedure are in place.
Included in Course: Learner Manuals, Assessments and SETA approved—Certificate of Competence.
All competent Learners receive a temporary licence to operate and, upon verification through external moderation processes, will receive a Certificate of Competence and a Licence to Operate verified by the IWH valid for 3 years from date of issue.
