Relevance: This training intervention introduces learners to health and safety legislation and why it is important to comply. The module also looks at the general aspects around both health and safety hazards that apply to most workplaces. Learners are familiarised with the concept of being alert for hazards in their workplace, and for thinking about suitable control measures for the hazards. Lastly, learners work through a module on emergency preparedness in which they do a simulation of an emergency drill.
