We believe in having clear corporate values, recognising the interests of communities, being transparent in our business dealings and following best corporate governance practices. In line with this, KBC has actively identified areas for involvement and funding, selecting projects according to the nature of the needs and in terms of the potential benefit to society.
Africa Food for Thought
A business quote to remember: “Great companies are only made great by what they give back to their communities”. KBC recognises that, as an accountable corporate citizen, we have a non-negotiable responsibility to the communities in which our company is involved.
KBC is currently involved with Africa Food for Thought (AFFT), a non-profit organisation which is essentially focused on equipping and supplying Nutrition Programmes. AFFT currently assists 10 schools, supporting 7000 children.
KBC has committed to sponsoring Sifiso Manzini, a 17 year old boy who loves reading and watching educational programmes on television. Sifiso’s parents are deceased and he currently stays with his unemployed grandmother. KBC’s sponsorship includes subsidising Sifiso’s household (which includes three other children) and KBC is pleased to be able to support Sifiso in these difficult circumstances.
